What's changed?

The changes concern the measurement of inter-harmonic groups and the measuring window, which is now 200ms. These requirements are described in EN61000-4-7 (2002).

What do I need to do?

If you are involved in the design or EMC test of any electrical product to be sold in Europe and many other countries), this change will involve you. Check that you or your EMC lab has the facility to measure inter-harmonic groups. The standard is valid now, and should be applied to new designs already.
Today, the Voltech PM3000ACE-002 is fully compliant to the transitional clauses of this standard, but these will be removed at the end of 2007, making an upgrade necessary for new product development and testing.

PM6000 Power Analyzer

The PM6000 power analyzer implements the requirements of the standard for a reference instrument, using classical discrete Fourier transforms rather than troublesome FFT algorithms.  The PM6000 is the ONLY power analyzer powerful enough to do this.
