News & NotesBIOQUELL’s new Clarus series of Bio-decontamination Systems enter Canada Research has shown that hydrogen peroxide vapour can be used to provide rapid, low temperature, effective and residue-free surface bio-decontamination. This technique for sterilization of pharmaceutical equipment, including clean rooms, isolators and electronic equipment has several advantages over traditional techniques e.g. formaldehyde fogging. Bioquell’s new Clarus L and Clarus C hydrogen peroxide generators are being introduced to prospective Canadian customers by PharmaMedSci Group. A major part of the introduction involves educating users about the benefits of hydrogen peroxide over formaldehyde and other bio-decontamination techniques. Bioquell supports this education process with many informative articles. Two related articles are attached; The Clarus series doesn’t need to have a Relative Humidity of 40% like other generators, thereby eliminating a secondary drying cycle and improving on decontamination time significantly. Another innovation is a special nozzle (included in the generator price) is used for controlled even distribution of the gas. With the installed base of users in Canada presently growing at a fast rate, the Clarus series is proving to be the hydrogen peroxide bio-decontamination system of choice.
