Interfax is a 100% Canadian owned company with offices in
Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver. Interfax
has been operating as a technical sales and support firm representing
several manufacturers of electronic/electrical test equipment
and systems level products since 1979. In our 24-year history,
Interfax has signed on many young companies with new products
in our familiar market arena and we have successfully created
significant sales revenue for them from Canada and introduced
innovative technologies to our many Canadian customers. Interfax
has also taken many established companies' sales to new heights
in Canada from previous multi-sales-channel arrangements or
previous lack of excellence in representation.
Customers include the Canadian electrical/electronic
manufacturers, government, heavy industry, and utility market
sectors.
Technologies covered are RF/Wireless/Telecom,
Power test, Data Acquisition and Storage, Medical Bio-Science,
EMC, and Bus Systems.
In effect the EMC is closely connected with the Power Test
group. Power test covers an extensive offering of AC and DC
power supplies and test solutions for electrical equipment
manufacturers, plus test products for the power utilities
and large industrial customer’s maintenance functions.
Data Acquisition and Storage provides mostly high performance
products for the industrial, research, sonar/radar and medical
applications, with extensive data storage and back-up systems
for the I.T. market. The new Interfax Bio-Science Group of
products serves the growing pharmaceutical testing and qualification
industry.
Interfax has several partnering relationships in place with
other Canadian companies to provide systems integration and
support in all of our product categories and technologies.
This website has listings of the various suppliers in these
product technologies. Within each Interfax office certain
sales reps specialize with knowledge on the products in these
five technology sectors to provide the best possible representation
in a pre and post sales support function.
Presently with a sales force of 11 engineers and technologists,
Interfax System's sales focus is assisting customers with
test and measurement challenges and offering high quality
products from exclusive relationships with several reputable
suppliers.
Service centers for post-sales support are
located in the Toronto and Montreal facilities.
History of the Interfax Name:
In recognizing a deficiency in the Canadian test and measurement
market in 1979, the company was formed with the idea of providing
a better interface between the customer and the (typically
US) manufacturer. At the same time the GPIB instrumentation
bus was growing in popularity and we saw a need for a rep
company to provide solutions interfacing the various GPIB
instruments to others and computers. Hence the name Interface
Systems was evolved. Enter a certain spouse who said "that's
not a very catchy name, put an X or Z in it somewhere".
Interfax Systems Inc. was born, before the fax machine became
a business phenomena.
